Today  we recognize  the 1 month noeversary  of Breathing Blessings for Emmalee! 1 Month ago today  she endured her first Cleveland Clinic surgery. Hand in Hand with God she underwent 6 1/2 hours of reconstruction to give her the opportunity to breathe!

Every day since then she has experienced peaceful breathing and for every person who knows her she breathes upon their hand with gratitude and praises.
We Thank You Dr  Alloia for allowing God to use her  to help guide us to Dr. Anne and Dr. Royce in all of their efforts to make a difference for our special Girl!

 We celebrate this victory  of all God has led us thru,by any means not just for the results, but all that our journey has entailed! We genuinely appreciate all the off trails, obstacles, delays  to lead us right where we are  !!

 Please celebrate with us by taking a moment & giving praise to our Loving savior and Prince of peace and healing!

A wake up call....

You know the whole sleep thing?

 Well uh we were  well into a DEEP  sleep when....

 LOUDLY a voice comes on repeating.....

Please evacuate and exit the closest stairs this is not  a drill

Fire alarm activated.....

 after the 3-4 th announcement I  proceeded to get Em and I to safety

Awakening abruptly stumbling and rushing out and down the stairs in our PJs

  walking   down the stairs to

 empty us out into an alley

 Wet sludge milky puddles and Snow falling

 walking back towards our hotel entrance I decided to spare my cozy moccasins

and took them off cracking em up at my freezing bare feet wading

 thru ice cold  snowy sludge to find many people out in the  20's degree snow

 waiting for clearance....     It was quite comical with giggles...

We so took a nap later....

Cleveland Style Holidays Underway

Recovering ,all smiles and spirits uplifted!

 This morning I surprised her and let her get out  a Little at Towercity for some

 Holiday festivities.

A day  made  special for her  by many....

They have this neat  Kris Kringle event  Toy Inventionasium....

Really cool opportunity for  her. She  walked thru   the Elves  workshop and

invented different toys for Santa  noodles, monster puppets, gadgets, snow and then brought one to SANTA Himself and had pictures made ( thanks to Officer Ray once more)

This really made her day and smile  after a rough week  with antibiotics and infection.

 There were   a ton of Christmas festivities..

Train Rides inside the mall, Shows,   Winterfest in Public Square Tree lighting

 She went to a play in the center of the mall

Fairy Godmother and Toy Soldier

 She loved this so much  she was very engaged in the story of it all when all of the sudden.....

 A very tall  almost 7 ft Soldier walks up and ask her for her hand to Dance

WOW did she just Light up! yes tears rolled down my cheeks for her....

She curtsied and took His hand they danced then He whisped her up into His arms

She felt incredibly honored and certainly SPECIAL!

Blessings beyond Blessings!

Officer Ray treated us to lunch  introduced us to Officer Anna  & visited with us

Anna  called her 7 yo daughter up to come and watch Tangled 

 She   blessed us and got us into the  3D movie to enjoy then brought Em  a kids pack of

popcorn candy and a DrinK! Simply amazing!!!!!

 Thank you  all for MAKING   her Recovery eased and Bright!

OUR EMMALEE

I would like to share with you that tonight  we  were  blessed with a POEM  written especially about em that leaves me truly once more  without words! One of Clevelands finest officer Michael Sikora  who is especially gifted in the perception and beautiful expression of  words of His  encounters, experiences and special people who touch Him leave us touched & beyond .....So Compelling

He WITHOUT  ever having the direct opportunity to meet my Em   put together a collection of touching words to be the most profound summary of her story in such a tender moving expressionistic manner.

EMMALEE

When she came she was quite a surprise

And brought tears of joy to her parents eyes.

She was as cute as she could be

 And they named her EMMALEE.

their joy was short lived when they heard the doctor say

There was a problem with her airway.

It was not completely there

But there could be a repair.

So many surgeries she has went through

Year after year as she grew.

Now  at the age of seven years

Her story brings you to tears.

She says that no one understands

It is all in God's hands.

Although she is in pain

 you will never hear her complain.

Now she is so far from her home

Away from those she loves and has known.

Emmalee and her mom are all alone

While dad tries to  maintain their Texas home.

He's a cop in Sugarland

trying to smile and understand.
He worries for their safety every day
And for His safety they both pray.
Keep him safe and out of harm
Till He can hold us in his arms.
When they arrived they didn't know what would be
They were adopted into the Cleveland Police Family.
We will do whatever we can do
To help them do anything they want to.
Emmalee has touched our Heart
She may be young but she is smart.
She knows to make it through this day
She has to believe in God and pray.
We all want her to succeed
so we'll see to her every need.
She is wise far beyond her years
she has faith to conquer her fears.

Em's heart....

Em is an amazing girl as I have shared with all of you over and over again!

 Tonight and throughout our Journey she has poured her heart out with me. All Gods blessings and purpose for her. She continues  to be carried by His grace  with only the spirits perseverance. Em has been exposed to so much and endured alot more in her lil lifetime all predestined by our lord. For His plans are in place with a big purpose for her. I await to  watch all of them transpire and unfold.

However tonight we were driving and visiting together. Loooooving our time.

She  opened up about some really hurtful things and explained to me that God has really protected her heart and replaced it with His love and placed people in her life to love her beyond. YES!  all her words! Thank you sweet Lord and savior!

 It gets better she  casually mentions to me.........

 " Mom  I was thinking that  when I get home  since I pretty much have known

since I was like- uh 5 that I want to  accept Jesus in  my heart  I mean I already have but want to do it at church... remember when I was 5 I wanted to

 and I want to still start my girls club for Gods word too when we get back"

That's My Girls amazing heart for the Lord.....

Blessings And Beyond!

 I am finding myself  at   a true loss for words but a heart filled with praises and Thanks!
  I have tried to do my best at  sharing all God is  doing in Our life along Our journey he has us on...

Tonight  we arrived back at the hotel  to discover that Officer Ray and Clevelands Union President had stopped by to   bless us   even   more.....
As mentioned before Cleveland Police have adopted us into their Family and have been blessing us, watching after us and  keeping up with our needs to more than fulfill them.
Again God guiding and Providing thru many ....

I am not certain all of you are aware( only mentioning for purpose of  blessings/victory that come from it) but  Em and I have had  somewhat  of   struggle getting to and from the hospital  but  all usually works out   with delay but  God comes thru.
 We have been stuck  up to 2 hrs  waiting  after proceedures  to get back to the hotel, or emergently unable to get to the hospital or hard to get her meds  filled. Even praying for safety along our ride on the RTA. Not to mention if it hasn't been within walking distance or delivery we   were not able to get to it....... No reason to mention before due to  so many praises it was just all ok at the time.
 No matter how or what the way 
give PRAISE that their is a WAY! and so we did!

Until Tonight , yes thats right, Cleveland Police angels, Their Union President and Tom Ganley  all collaborated. They all decided that they did not think this should be occurring soooooo.....

God   blessed us BEYOND thru them with their  determined willing  compassionate Hearts...
They brought us  multiple food gift cards  and a
2010 Silver G6 Pontiac CAR  to drive for the remainder of our stay.
I was truly caught speechless and in amazement!
A car seriously????WOW!
Their goal to ease our burdens throughout our stay!
All so I can continue on caring  and focusing on my girls needs!
 So BELIEVE in ALL GOD can do ....
AMAZING!

Expecting SNOW.....

This weekend we are expecting some snow and cold cold weather. We are excited about that. They are prparing us for  major cold  temps. We were so proud of ourselves for being winterized here!  what we thought was cold and wearing light jackets vs heavy coats now.... whoohoo but now comes the really really cold ... they say.  We are tremendously missing Home.  We are staying busy with homework, crafts and games! Em is  resting and healing and trying to fight the infection...... We hope all you Texans are enjoing the nice 60's and 70's there!

We so many times schedule schedule schedule all of our days full....

It has been the biggest blessing of all  during along this wonderful journey God has us on. As Em recovers we just  have one another and snuggle love and enjoy just each other.

Although recovery is  hard there so much of Gods peace  we are experiencing in a variety of ways! What an amazing  blessing. Back to the basics for us and Loove It!

The feeling of  focusing on true meaning of being a Mom loving nurturing, comforting my girl. I have always invested in her 200% but this is different. Us being isolated with God her and I has been indescribable.Showing her things teaching her embracing each moment. Doing crafts, schoolwork, listening to her, watching her grow  ( interacting and handling all God gives her)thoroughly enjoying her.

 God always has a plan and knows best !

Clinic day....

      Today we woke and worked on some schoolwork together.  Ate some lunch and headed back to the clinic.   Sharing laughs and cheering others on our shuttle ride to  clinic.
      When we arrived a sweet Lady we had met the other day was getting on. She shared setbacks in her Husbands health, Please pray for them.... Richy & Linda  they are from Florida and are here for  heart institute.  Also  please pray for Kim and her dad charlie with cancer.
      There are soooo many people here from around the states and country in need of prayers! Throughout our journey God  placed special people in our path that we  are able to pray with and lift up, please join us from where you are.
              Lord we pray for these special people that you are  aware of and you have brought to our journey Lord you know their needs and plans you hold for them. We trust in all you do for us. Please  provide them  with your comfort , healing, loving embrace we know they are not alone and that you have gifted them with the peace and understanding already... Let this be a time they call to you Lord Amen!

        Em  had her follow up  visit with her Pulmonologist... He reviewed  her bronchoscopy  and testing diagnostics from surgery and a plan for her to return home with. He has developed a  preventative plan and an action plan when sick.
  Today we did find out that Em does have some degree of malformation of her airway( along with her nose) that we are not addressing at this time due to  development and risks involved.  They will still follow her and monitor the situation to   manage her effectively.

    When asked the cause of the other portion of her airway.... We were told God/Nature.....
                                   “To God belong wisdom and power
                                   counsel and understanding are his. Job 12:13
   The idea is that one portion of her airway has been opened and should relieve 60% of  the complications.  If Emmalee gets sick she still may have some struggles due to the other portion of her airway, but will have a more open nose  and a preventative plan in place.
 We were unaware that she had  any involvement of this part of her airway  and are greatful they were thorough enough to diagnose it.
       She has a couple of components that contribute to her breathing difficulties.We will still be using bipap to some extent. We are very blessed and greatful for all the   they have achieved and care given here in Cleveland.    Thank you for all of your support and Prayers in getting her here!

Rainy Day Naps

A long Dr.  kind of day.... Cleveland clinic all Morning!

We returnrd to our hotel to hibernate with the sound of rain.

We snuggled up and took a good refreshing nap.

Now Recharged and good to go!

We are so proud of our texan selves.... We now feel hot and warm with the 50's LOL.

 They all are convinced we brought TX weather with us, that it is NEVER this warm in NOV.

Week 2 Post op Check Up

Emmalee has been resting decently thru the nights this week.

 Increased clots drainage an some fresh bloody drainage that has started as well.  Which is good to be DRAINING, WHOOHOO! We  had our routine check up This am.  The dr was pleased with the healing  and appearance of her nose but are progressing slowly . However we had a common set back with the healing process for her nose. The nose is healing and sometimes with that an infection can occur. She has an infection now. So they delayed her surgery this week. They placed her on another round of antibiotics and will check her again next week.

Instead they tried to do some cleanout in the office with their "special tools" awake. She was the bravest, most courageous girl I know. Tears streamed her face as she continually asked the Dr how far she was going and will it hurt! She sat their for 75% and just tolerated it. The Dr allowed her to hold the tools along with her. She explained to Emmalee that she never lets kids "help" her but em was special!This however was really rough on her   a vacuum, extra long metal tongs/( pincher-em says) and the INFAMOUS   LONG    BLACK   SCOPE....( that she has had so many times)  attempting to remove gunk and open the airway up, all awake in the office, sitting and enduring with Gods strength! She had tools and hands all coming toward her tender infected inflamed healing LIL nose.

She is quite AMAZING and she told me as we discussed what a trooper she is and how she always has a smile and is happy that people notice that   " God made me this way so he gets all the credit and well you raised me so you get a little...." cutely well said as she tilts her head. ( by a 7yr old)

So our return home is delayed with the infection but they  are treating her and have a great handle on her care! The Dr. explained that this can be part of the healing but  was hoping to avoid it. She  is going to watch her closely rather than waiting until meds are completed she still wants to keep monitoring her in hopes to get her healed and home. If she waited she may get behind the 8 ball and delay all the more. Once more being Thorough! Go Cleveland GO!

Thank you sweet Lord for your ways and wisdom is more than ours! Amen!

Oh my STARS A cannoli........

We were given a gift of ALL gifts ! Only the Best  Pastry in the world! Mr Stephen the GM at our hotel so thoughtfully brought us dessert back from a famous lil place in the area Little Italy. WOWSERs are we ever so thankful for His treat. We sooo devoured them in the lobby.  I was attempting to share a bite or 2 with Em when she took over the entire dessert.... LOL  VERY YUMMY... now we have  mentioned missing our food before & how all they have up here is Italian everything..... but wait a min....

 Italian pastry. Cannoli consist of tube-shaped   shells of fried pastry dough, filled with a sweet, creamy filling  usually containing

 Ours were beyond yummy  with choc   chips too!

BIRTHDAY BASH

Miss Michel, One of many amazing  ladies  in our Path  on Our Journey, was her birthday!

 She has been  a special person for my Em. If you can picture the lil em you know when she is happy or touched by someone the dimples pop up toungue goes out chin tilts down... yep that look for miss Michael each time she sees her or just a BIG BRIGHT SMILE for her. Ready to hug her anytime she sees her at the desk. We met her the 2nd night at our new place to stay  15 days ago.

A wonderful blessing she has been to us!

So tonight Em  ( w Miss Colleens Help)  set a cake out in the lobby while our other residence inn family distracted MMichael. We then all Hid on each side of the door to the main desk area and jumped out with .......SURPRISE  and grand singing!

 Colleen, Michael, Brandon, Em & I  oh .. Kevin of course....

Well that was the funny part he had to work downstairs and was in the garage...

Well we were playing joke on Him and asked him how he ended up in TIMEOUT.... we called to give him a hard time....

 Then Em and Michael went around delivering cake  to Kevin in timeout and Miss Jennifer

It was a great evening and we enjoyed blessing her bday with a necklace em made for her  and key ring charm of her  daughters name and wallet for her.

Ok so Em and I have been freezin and what  do you like when its Cold.....

 Other than be warm? Is to eat warm cooked meals....

  The last couple of weeks we have been in search of somwhere downtown( we have no car)

 for some Hot soup in delivery or walking distance. All our delivery choices we called...

 They said  ha ha ha LOL  to us OH we only serve that for when its COLD  in the Winter

 So to OURSELVES thought  PEOPLE   IT IS   COLD! Its been  the 30's

 But man oh man tonight Cold and All  we found

ABOVE AND BEYOND

THE CALL OF DUTY

 As I have shared before about the blessings that have continued daily thru various  People God is using , among them would Be  Officer Ray, CPD. We had the honor of meeting him at our hotel one evening. He since then each day has continued to share our story and reachout to His  fellow officers, departments and surrounding attractions to Bless us all The more.
He Called   today and had asked us to meet him in the Lobby that His Sgt. wanted to meet Em and I.
 We went downstairs to share our gratitude and appreciation for all their thoughtfulness and abundant blessings from their dept of officers! Not to mention all that Ray has done to initiate all their efforts!

 God has used Officer Ray in big ways to provide for us and more than bless our stay!
 When you approach someone in the future please think of how , yes you to can make a difference for someone and never really know  day  to day  who God may place in your path to bless. Just as Ray has done for us! He was available  and answered the duty  call God placed among Him!
 Now He has more than blessed us, and  during our stay we have learned thru other special Friends that  His heart is truly that genuine and he is forever going above and beyond for alot of people. Things he doesnt have to do but  has a loving willing spirit and follows that out daily!
 Thank you Officer Ray for going the distance for us  and soooo many!

Upon meeting Sgt. Ross and visiting again with Oficer Ray,the  Sgt meeting lil Em,  bless  us all the more!!! ABUNDANTLY by all CLEVELAND PD!
This entire process has been moving and overwhelming to see God in action each day as if He Himself were handing  us each blessing. So with that and my heart being filled even more with tears of appreciation and thanks tears wanted to fall.
They presented Em with a huge Princess bag filled with all kinds of  special treasures.....
 CD's , cd player, art desk activities, coloring books, movie
 and Our family with a card filled with more financial blessings for our stay...
 Now the tears are streaming my face in awwe of all their compassion and efforts for us!
 Please understand it is the efforts and thoughts of these Men in uniform of a different city  Police dept. reaching out lifting us up and showing the best gift of all LOVE in action. We are just one family that they have truly gone above and beyond the call of duty for. Their  HEARTS are amazing!
 Leaving a memorable impression  for us to always cherish!
They went on to  ask  how could they help get my husband here to be with us, pick up  arrangements, wages covered, dinner for 2 just a few hours to be with His family.... whatever the case they wanted to see that they could help that happen..... All Heart..... I procceded to share with them how many of you have all offered the same for us  ( Friends Family, Gymnastics Family) but
 Unfortunately that is in Gods Hands and being that He has provided and guided every step for us we know and TRUST in His plans .....
So God is with us  and Tommy is with us  thru HIm and that is plenty
for God always provides like manna He pours down 
JUST ENOUGH! ( Exodus)

A bright Morning!

The words to my heart.... by my lil girl!

 She woke up and asked me  " Mommy I breathed   more peacefully last night" I said you did how do you know She replies " Im all so clear in there see...... wit a big QUIET   Snnnnifffffff"  oh sweetest girl Thank You Lord for her ! and for an  amazing BREATHING   nights rest for her! Can you imagine the difference? especially her being able to share that difference she notices  to me! Wow Our Lord is Gooood to us! She   had some difficulty  but nothing like we have been. The  Dr.  did  prepare  us that  the swelling and drainage would resume as this  same process to occur each week lessening in  amount and severity.  With the change in regimen tailored to her needs it should help all the more!

ON THE MEND phase 2 complete

Em went into surgery  prep around 2 today in good spirits, again no fear  and all smiles with God, Tomcat and Mom by her side! Cute as a button. All the Dr.s have determined she should be there PR Look!  Captivating Cleveland Hearts!

 She decided against dreamcicle this time around and quickly changed to Skittles flavor.( for the mask)!

Around 3pm they all rallied for the gameplan for assurance... HER Dr  was making her laugh and told her she was going to give her A BOOGERECTOMY .....    So funnyy LOL  Surgery for debriedment and wash out to assist and keeping surgery site open for healing.

320 Off we went to the OR. She remembered her old room as she passed it? wow I sure didnt. Amazing how much they pay attention...... and what impacts them....

 When we got to the OR she had another great team of Dr.s They were funny to her.

 She had a silly balloon lady that tried to help her focus on inflating the anesthesia balloon.

Em started to struggle with tears by this point at remembrance of 7 days ago the feeling of not being able to  Breathe sensation as she  takes in those slow breaths.  As I fought back the tears i sung You are me sunshine to her and prayed for her all the more for that needed Peace! Asleep she went.......

And Off they made me Go this time with many more tears ( what was to be the easy phase) There is nothing watching your little girl struggle with MAJOR tears and have to leave them  although you know she is in GODS palm of His hands...

You regroup and remain with that Focus  the only one solution to ALL things JC!

 Then all was fine  I had  a  snack and waited.....

 Surgery was started by 344 and she came crying and coughing down the hall by 5

 They had to give her some breathing treatments for her  coughing but all went well otherwise!

 Dr Anne'  was amazing once more. She found Significant swelling , crusting, drainage. She  appreciated and had even more understanding of her breathing difficulties this past week . With that she was quite impressed and changed her regimen up some to  help the process over the next week. MORE AGGRESSIVE  management. She is such a blessing her knowledge and thoroughness  are all answered prayers!

 we are now back at our Hotel room and she is DOING GREAT!

 Today Em has her phase 2 surgery at 1pm. They will be assuring proper healing and help promote that  with debriedment  and cauterizing. To keep her airway open throughout the healing process.

I love our Amazing Lord and how he cares or our  well being. Before going to the hospital  I spent time in prayer  Please pray along....

I thank you Lord for all the peace and comfort you have brought us thus far and praise you so much for all you have been doing in our lives and showing us the way.  We praise you for showing us the way and just which hospital and doctors it should be. Beyond my own thoughts and ways!

as you encourage me thru your word in Isaiah 55:9."  As the heavens are higher  than the earth, so are my ways higher than our ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts"We Specifically  ask you to  continue with YOUR  plans for  My Emmalee. I Trust in all that you are doing for you know better than I. Please  give the doctors the wisdom and full knowledge of the best way to proceed. Thank you Lord, that you suffered and died for us so that we might be healed. I look for you for a lie of health healing and wholeness for my sweetest Emmalee. Thank you for gifting us with the peace patience  perseverance  Grace of the spirit to carry us thru today s events and everyday!  AMEN

One Week Check-up

      Em continues on with discomfort , swelling and now some bruising.

all part of her recovery process.           

                        Each day is  better day all in the palm of Gods hands, Our Healer.
      We spent All day at the Hospital for her one week check-ups. Tough day  for her. Already not feeling her best but wearing a smile and offering her giggles you would never know!  The doctor noted increased swelling  and  significant crusting more than expected. Explaining her struggle and difficulty breathing throughout the day and especially at night all NIGHT we have been battling! Em being Em  explains it all at length to Dr Anne' how her " ears, nose are clogged really on the right and no she could not breathe and its not any better" for her being very descriptive as always. She is such a HOOT! Making her Dr. Smile!
       They attempted to vacuum some out of the nose with a scope again! Being soooo brave and courageous she endured it all the more on the left but not happening on the right. Her problematic side which is draining horribly and tender ! She attempted to help with some of the drainage for relief until tomorrow to get her thru the night!

       Her 2nd Surgery is scheduled for tomorrow   1pm for debriedment and wash out.

          We are out recovering low key style to get away rom Hospital and Hotel   environment...

 We ventured  on over to Tower City   Movies to see  MEGAMIND....

While we waited we thought we might find some normal  home like food for us.... Yeah not so much

 While looking at the selection of places offered Em tried a sample of some sort.......

 Next she looks up to me  and says  "   mmmmmmm that was quite DELECTABLE"   ok where did she get that?  ADORABLE as ever  gave her the biggest hug & kiss.  Then we finally chose a place to eat    &   I asked her what would you like  .. she tells me " oh anything delectable"

I asked her where she found  that word  oh easy the Brady bunch   ... so cute.

 She  is such a hoot and makes us all Smile and Giggle!

She enjoyed the movie and getting out for a little while

R& R& R Rest & Recovery......Reruns

Em has arranged her chair and ottoman up near the TV

with her blankets animals, irrigation

 and Kleenex all set up. Resting  it up and Recovering at Gods pace!

Over the last 3 days it has been a Brady and Full house Fest!

Over and Over Again and Again

Season after Season

 We have watched all of Brady bunch 1& 2  3 x each

And who knows full house??? Too many to count.......

We have no Disney....

A Bump from Gunk in the Night....

As many of you know Em really can struggle at night. We were told that after surgery this would even get worse. Most nights em struggles breath after breath to move air.

Last night going so well being open from day 1 of surgery. Thonight Em being the lil champ she is did all of her regimen irrigating her tender lil nose and All!

She fell asleep  for an eventful night....

Feeling  frustrated  with concern for Her  tears streamed my face watching her Struggle ALL the more!!!

 If I could only Help you understand just how Horrific it is to see & hear your sweetest girl Breathe in agony with every breath!  Her entire Body was thrusting in and out to get a breath... shoulders, chest tummy absolutely everything was moving up/ down /in/out

 I felt helpless to help her I started all over again doing all that i knew to do ,praying stimulating repositioning and sitting  between 11- 3 am! It began to get worse the more it was not acceptable....

We went on to the ER as she was not breathing well at all.

She was awake  and  even having difficulty then but doing ok but once fell back to sleep she started again with her fight to breathe Her oxygen level low and level to effort to breath they kept monitoring her. They had to give her a big dose of steroids  to minimize the amount of swelling to alleviate some of the obstructed airway . This is all expected as part of the healing process but complicates things for her because she doesn't mouth breathe...and DEPENDS on her nose!

We are now back at the Hotel with a more precise recovery plan for her!This will start to improve but complete healing can be 3-4 months... also hard to hear

Lots of  understanding and accepting took place for  us to Care for Her....

Tired, exhausted , and Tearful regrouped and regained focus on the one Solution JC!

 Gods Grace carries us  

I share with you friends that I reached out in frustration to my Sisters in Christ and with much prayer love and support at 3 in the morning He used them to embrace and comfort  me !

Ahhhh I can't stand it my sweet girl something we all take for granted  as simple to breathe in/out

Knowing it was  going to get worse, thinking of how they should just have monitored for the peak of worsening of swelling... Knowing God has it and was showing things to me I wasn't still, not ready to listen and wait on Him jumped to thinking how I did not want to do this again or by myself

 ( soo yes God was with me but ...)

 I could not move past that she was going thru this all again and we were going to fight this during this Rough Recovery...Completely caught off guard in discouragement and tangled up in past exp. had to persevere to all God is doing.. This night and much of the day struggled at getting to that point but

 Gods Grace once more pulls me thru...

God Knows the one main area in my Life to grow me and that is being a parent  of a

Gift He has given to Me ! Being a mom

 This is  a daily surrender for me.... and it continues

He shows me every day that I am not able to be in control or sufficient on my own in Caring for her therefore I appreciate the  "thorn" of health to remind me of that! My role is To TRUST Believe and PRAY

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Destination Recovery Hotel....

Other than expected discomfort, pain, swelling and drainage Em is  doing good. Last night I must of woke up (  yes I slept, a first)  to  A peaceful blessing of a sight and sound of My Girl breathing thru her nose! WOW! This was  such a warm  moment between God and I! Many Praises for HIm. 

 NO struggling to breathe,  no noises, no distress just peaceful overdue REST!

Today she was up out of bed sitting  and playing with her friend PENBO Penguin!

She was uncomfortable ,but you know my girl, trooped along with Gods Grace!

She was having some problems with her eyes. She had alot of increased pain especially  moving them or light. So Optho came to check on her> They said no complications noted and It should start to improve.

So we were discharged today around 5 pm 

 We got her all settled and prepared with all our supplies for care and had a

BRADYBUNCH MARATHON #1/2 seasons 

God Going The Distance

For Em and I it was the travel and miles of our journey, and direction of a  path unknown......

For Cleveland Clinic they more than went the Distance in Compassion and Care

( all planned perfectly by our Father in Heaven)

The Cleveland Clinic Difference

Our day has come....

Most of you have been there all along this journey God has had us travel... low roads, hard roads and often the less traveled.. All leading where we are today!

My Girl has been thru it over these last 6 years and Cleveland clinic accomplishes all she has gone thru and more in 2weeks! Today they are going to help Em breathe and establish an effective Airway for her!

     Our arrival time 5:30 am whoowee they are off to an early start! They have coordinated multiple doctors schedules and blocked off 6-7 hr for her procedures!  After starting off my morning in Prayer and Gods word wake Em to go. Em dressed in her pink cocoa PJ's in good spirits but tired!

Limo wonder Will carries Em in to The P building for her scheduled surgery time we checked in and Waited  slept, waited slept,waited...  em snuggled up with her blanket, and animals....

 Around 9:45 we get called back to the prep room...   Wow the way they are set up here makes all the difference even with a wait! They give you a pager to be contacted, texted and reached with updates. They have a monitor like at the airport that shares status on patients process and location!

        All the different Teams of doctors and ChildLife all come to visit& review q's , & pics with Her!

She was loving her post-op Gift Penbo the penguin and showing everyone, of course!( Ashley & Zack)

The teams of dr.s all re-joined for the pre-game huddle to validate the status and Gameplan! really neat that they go the extra yard... for assurance...

      Em all giggles, no fear Her Spirit is so incredible!Jc equips Her with bravery ,courage, peace!

We prayed together.

     Then they provided me with gown and cap to go along with her into the OR room until she falls asleep!

Away we Go together Em, Pola, Tomcat,MOM  and God hand and hand!

      She chose dreamcicle for her mask took 3 breaths as I showered her with  kisses and whispered softly to her How much Her dad and I love her and God is with her!   As she fell off to sleep she had a grip of my hand that they had to pull apart, and the tears fell softly down my cheeks being separated from her but gods comfort embraced me and His peace filled my heart! 

Hand and hand Heart to Heart we are united in God and shall never part!

        Many purposeful encounters God in Action at work while I wait!

Bible out and a gentleman asks what I am reading who works there we started discussing Faith 1peter pauls letters  and How God led Him and He folllowedworks hes done really neat experience  for me to be able to focus on God it was an angelic exp.!  Then what was I thought was a kind random act was soo much more! A lady overhearing my convo. brings my tylenol and bottle of water for my headache! Only wasn't really

 about that as much as it was to be available as a vessel for  God to her and her family!  I was blessed and honored to pray with them and Hear their testimony!

After that it was around 4 and Ent Dr. Anne' meets me in hallway to visit with me!

SURGERY COMPLETE! Time has come 6 years later!

A chance to breathe without struggle!

All went well She opened up her sinuses did resection moved her inferior turbinates(nasal tissue), removed ethmoids. Findings cysts and right side completely walled off no opening at all like a sheet over Her nasal opening. She is now all different and open per Dr Anne and recovering in pacu!       many of tears and hugs to share!

 Emmalee has had a rough time waking from surgery with much discomfort tears of  increased eye/ nasal pain. Taking multiple doses of meds to comfort her. Once pain controlled we were escorted over to the pedi floor. Thank you Kelly R.N for taking such great care of her!

 Thank you Doctors, Nurses,friends and Family for all your support and prayers for Emmalee's Healing!

Lifted up with Gods word and Friends Encouragement....

 Started this morning and last night with Gods word.... Comforts of His words of wisdom, ways and Truth.

Reading in Thessalonians, Timothy, 1 peter, 1 John....

 Now may the Lord of Peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with you. 2 Thessalonians 3: 16

But the Lord is Faithful & he will strengthen & protect you from the evil one.We have confidence in the Lord you are doing & will continue to do the things we command. May the Lord direct your hearts into Gods Love and Christs perseverance.

The grace of our Lord was poured out to me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy1:14

I thank Jesus our, Lord who has given me strength that he consider me faithful to his service. 1Timothy 1:12

And then I opened a card from a Sister in Christ one of many right before heading to the Hospital God is so incredible and I feel His abundant Love and Grace thru His Word

Officer Ray Blesses our Stay......

Special Assignment : Blessing us Abundantly..

Wow We met Him over the weekend  as I was trying to get in the door with em and park the car on Saturday

Em had the pleasure and opportunity to meet, charm and captivate His heart. so He later informs me. He shares with me what a great  amazing lil girl she is a good conversationalist and funny too. Once discovering she was to have surgery and Her Dad was a police officer. Officer Ray gains  a new assignment / calling for His heart!

Tonight we got in from adventure filled day before Ems Big day....
Officer Ray has blessed us with a sweet package and Heartfelt touching  note.....

"Here are the.............. For Emmalee and your Husband. there are a couple of patches for Him as well.
I'm working on getting you some tickets to local attractions to keep you guys entertained. I will pray for Emmalee tonight and I hope her Surgery is a success. please call me when She and you are able to get away from the Hospital. I will be more than happy to take you guys to the Christmas story house and other nearby things.
Emmalee is a special young lady and I can't imagine her having to go thru this. We are all part of the family. If there is anything you, your husband or Emmalee needs, please ask. If I can't help, we will find someone in the Police dept that can."

Amazing Right. More of God 's provisions on our journey! God places the right people in our Paths and We are so thankful for Officer Ray! More Praises for our Father in Heaven oh how He guides and Provides!

We got back from the Hospital and another Sweet Package was waiting for us!
This time just as He mentioned but  filled with thoughtfulness and Compassion and Heart!
This time a typed letter of contents and efforts in progress Printed off up coming attractions, tickets. Another sweet  kind letter . he now has reached out to others and his Department to all work together for Emmalee. I was astounded with amazement of Blessings. Once more Overwhelmed with Emotion!

 Upon calling Him with  a mound of thanks  and appreciation He continues to bless me with  His words of compassion for Our family.
" He carried on about how Lil Emmalee has changed His outlook  and perspective in His Own Life. How She is special and not by mistake. Her outlook and attitude is amazing and impressive that he was completely impressed by her. He explained how he was prompted  to do things for her and that's the easy part. He also went on to share that He could not begin to understand as an officer how my Husband must be feeling unable to  care for us from afar. So He and the  dept. wanted  to protect and watch over us, and care for us as we are part of Police Officer family. They take care of their own.

 and the Blessings continue.....  Staying low key for expenses, we continue to be blessed!

 Lil Em Captivating hearts of Cleveland. Captures one Police officers Heart.( other than her Dads)

Tower city is an old Historical Cleveland landmark. Once a train station now converted to partially a mall. It is a  52 floor building with an observation deck with a 360 view of the city,

  which is currently closed to public ....

A kind Police Officer we meet at Our Hotel offers to get  Em  a VIP/ special opportunity to  tour the tower and we did!

 What a breathtaking experience.... The gorgeous view of all of Cleveland to share together. She was ecstatic.  We went up to the 32nd floor to then go up to the 42nd floor where the view was Incredible! Especially Lake Erie in the distance not to mention the port, lighthouse, stadium and much more....



 Em was amazed! she said " oh I see Chicago kind of..."

 " theres our Hotel and the lake... oh come look this view is best"

To sleep or not to Sleep......

Em Had her sleep study last night. This was very important to complete before her surgery . Once again Cleveland ( God) comes thru for us! They neede to know exactly what she does centrally during her sleep beacause they already know she obstructs due to her nose.

 We were blessed once more with just the right people God had in place for Her, Miss Chrissy.

She was  a hoot and good for Em, yes they bonded!

 My girl is simply amazing Her spirit is contagoious and strength in the Lord is profound. She truly has been thru just as much over 6 years in 2 weeks! Wow how incredible She Is! She truly "fully relys on God"
 Thank you God for such a gift! 

 She shows me perspective daily and is an asset to my own Walk of Faith!

The greatest impact of her story starts with ME...Her spirit is uplifting and Optimistic!

She captivates...our hearts beyond words!

She handles everything so awesome! The Spirit fills her Jesus in Her and Her In HIm! To be so young and get it, Oh the plans God has for her.... I love my Girl with all my heart! I truly believe God is using her to

shape and grow me!

o k wait this was about sleep study and how that went, ill add to this later .... I was distracted by my own amazement of my GIRL! Thanks for listening!

Cleveland Keeps a Close EYE on Em....

Off to the Clinic again today.... They are Wikipedia of Thorough Here.

Last Friday ENT thought it was important to  evaluate her eyes with all the sinus infections and gunk fromher eyes. She usually ends up with  infection around her eyes once the sinusitis progresses. So her Dr.  sent us to Opthamology today. They have been so quick with all her appt.'s.

 It's amazing. God is soooo Good and blessing us abundantly.

 We braved the Healthline rail bus once more.Earning another Badge of courage. It's really ok during the day. In the freezing cold. Packed liked sardines. We  reached our stop at 93rd street, meaning we had to walk to next building over to Cleveland Clinic Cole eye Institute. Em and I raced in the cooooold air looking for the entrance with our lungs numb from the bitter coldness.

Her appointment went very well. Great eyes and vision. However,As thorough  as they are here, they were concerned about her tear ducts being involved as well.

So  they have scheduled her to have her ducts probed with stents along with her sinus surgery.

 How blessed are we for them to coordinate all of this together for my Sweet Pea!I am ever so thankful and give many Praises for the care she is recieving.   God has taken care of every detail for us.

 In honoring Him in Faith  and trusting in His plans,  He has provided  in a multitude of ways! 

 In coming here we followed Gods lead in hopes of a management plan. With that he has provided  so much more. The Dr.s , the care, prevenitive plan, sick management, treatment, diagnosis, thorough testing, compassion, recognition of severity and need, validation and an effective airway to come....

Thats true prosperity for us That He had in place...

Moving Day......

All packed up and away we go Taking Gods lead where we are to be!
 It is sooo amazing to just follow.....

Mr. Lavelle loaded up ALL our luggage & Rolled us across the street to the Residence inn with regrets for all involved a Hard move but a smile of Praise for all God has in store in
 His plans for us  the remainder of our Journey in  Cleveland!
 Our move include more provisions... shuttle, food/meals, kitchen, low rate-
 Now expanding our Cleveland Family with special people at the Residence
Em begins to name them as well..
Dazzling Diane, Compassionate Colleen,Cool Carol. Jazzy Jennifer, Magnificent Michael, Angel Angela
She had already made friends and melted hearts...
 They Greeted us big warm smiles & gave us  a heartfelt welcome!
When we made it up to Our room #303 It was Great!
Sitting on a desk were a balloon arrangement and goody basket for em..
A laundry basket,snack basket and a meal to prepare oh and POP ICE for Em!
We TRULY have been blessed beyond words by EVERYONE  God has us encounter!
It is all Him! Thank you Jesus!
We spend the day getting settled and then walk over to visit with our Holiday Inn Family who introduce us to their GM that is in complete awww at the interactions taking place wit His staff/our family  and Lil EM! He hears of our story as tears strem my Face once more feeling so Blessed By them! They beg to keep us and He says continue to take Care of Them whatever you have to do!
