Ohio's traditional Coveantry

Nicole and Arron picked us up to go to dinner and shop in the well remembered Coveantry of east Ohio.Where some of the older shops are including highlight for em big Fun Toy store featuring toys of All eras. Nicole always thinking of us, taking care of us and remains one of our biggest supports as she introduced us to the Lunch bunch gang at Sammys. Always offering warm smiles, hugs, soft listening ears and  heart full of compassion for us!

Em got excited at all the finds spending countless time in the toy store.

Aaron and Nicole made Em 2 adorable and ever so thoughtful Gymnastic t-shirts with her name on them! the best part is aaron even picked the right size shirt for her out on his own..shhhh He doesnt know I know  but aww how thoughtful. They share a treasure bond( metal detecting history) 

that Nicole thinks is... Junk hee hee what a Great evening  guys thank you so much for taking us out  to see more highlights of Cleveland and blessing us as always! You mean the worls to us! You have truly blessed us beyond words and made all the difference for Em!

Weekend at Bernies:)

Bernie and Family Blessings....

Bernie Em and I met for the Infamous Sammys B-fast minus Nicole...

She had a whole day planned for lil Em breaking us out and about of the hotel and into some Bernie Fun

Drives us out west part of Ohio toward Avon lake  stopping along the way to see the beautiful Beach and Downtown skyline. Em ran the Beach as if it were her Texas coast feeling Free as the wind and displaying  an unerasable SMILE my heart will never seize to forget All day.

Em had the best day with Bernie's. She made it super special for her ( and me) Emmalee played on the sands of lake Erie, the Park. Discovery zone at an Amazing library ( her fave thing to do) Ran free at the park, Visited a super cool nature center in Ohio of rescued animals. Em and I were loving the animals at the nature reserve and Bernie decides to share with us the vultures lunch....... DEAD Baby chicks to our surprise:( We share lots of smiles and laughs all day long. Prying Em away from the discovery zone was a bit difficult until she found out that Meg Bernie's daughter and Ems new Friend to be was home waiting on us.

What a great time for her.What a Heart little Meg has and loving sweet spirit, she was so welcoming to Em. Meg is such a sweet spirited girl perfect for em to be with...gift of friendshhip

They made bracelets, played babies,  played in her tree house in the rain, had girl chats about clothes fashion and friend stuff.  Phil and Bernie blessed us with a Delicious dinner at Applebees (as close to Texas cooking) steak and potatoes. Mr. good ol Phil had a family idea to make wreaths for a fundraiser, the girls wanted to go shopping so coupled together off we went. We went and gathered all the right things at craft store for Our soon to be very late Craft Night together.The girls , Barnie Phil and I all wreathed it up!

We had an amazing time with them!

Well we are officially back.....

Hellooo Cleveland and All our Cleveland Family....

EM is scheduled with a full week of appointments proceedures tests and surgery this week. As you know from earlier post we landed Here  sooner than expected due to hospitalization  in Texas and  not breathing or feeling all that well for sometime now.  Plans were to have follow ups in Dec/Jan and now we are here due to one of Ems famous Falls... We look forward to seeing and huging each of you between clinic trips. We will keep you all updated throughout the week.

One year ago....

Today I sit here humble before the Lord as I knew life to be very  different one year ago ..TEARS  stream my face with mixed emotions of gratitude,blessings, answered prayers, at the thoughts of just where we were 1yr ago each day and night  watching her struggle using her entire body shifting in opposite directions with each agnal sounding breath in  waiting what felt like forever for her to exhale attempting to sleep uprightin my arms in a chair with lamp on, stimulating her all night long trusting in God she was in His hands, no doctors to care for her, no where to go..just sit watch and wait night after night praying  trusting Gods timeline and plans.  Today and the past few months has been a lifestyle change and acceptance of many blessings throughout.At night i catch myself sneaking a peek and a listen with  a soft grateful smile upon my face thanking The Lord not one sound is heard but just peaceful effortless breaths.....  One year ago my sweet girl was barely breathing yet alone growing and thriving like other active girls her age or participating in activities to her capability yet still reaching  and showing us her unstoppable Em.He has covered us in His love and Grace and embraced us to bring Her and us to a remarkable place.. all victories  won no regrets to Glorify Him please take a moment and surrender whatever it is you are holding onto and allow him to lead you in the same manner that i was able to let go Let God.... complete trust FREEFAll in Faith! You'll never be the same

She had a great time starting the night  with Allie at gym and then got dressed and ate some delicious Taco soup shared a  photo session and headed out for some good ol trick or treating... it was wonderful to see her wander door to door giggling with friends! She enjoyed her costume  so much.... thankful to her mimi for sewing a just right shirley dress.... to twirl, dance, tap ,and sing in All night as the highlight....

Well ok Friends.... A little while since I've been able to have access to the computer...

We landed in Texas  with our spurs kickin us along...preparing to jump into school... getting lesson plans...going to the doctor 3-4 x week.... Church events.... proceedures...gymnastics meets.... Teaching all day...Emmalee being super sick...landing in the Hospital for  rounds of IV antibiotics and steroids.... now we are back home doing ok and finishing up with Gymnastics this weekend.... well you get the whirlwind.. My hopes are to get this all nicely updated for all of you!!!! But for now wanted to

 update the latest in Our world..   We miss all of you wishing each of you rich blessings..

 It's become a part of my  daily routine & schedule...Dr.s,clinics,tests,proceedures and waiting minute after minute..... At cleveland Clinic My mom and I ride in on the healthline RTA rail to Crile building where most of all I have to do takes place... I have full days ...starting with appointments...7th floor up to 12 back to 7.....then labs and tests... walking over to glickman tower finding Ms. Dru for a hug ,spreading my smiles along the way onto the next appointment all in the same day...waiting for CT,xray, labs & sometimes off to surgery I go. needles,meds....pfts.... shots .... and scopes up my nose....Blessed with His Grace and perseverance!

Gym-ing it Up

Em has been doing what she loves most...Gym time

 only in the Gym and not the marble floors of the lobby....

She has jumped right back into action like she never had been out.
Em has been flipping,vaulting, swinging bar to bar,leaping, handstanding and smiling with Gymnastics this summer.  She has been overall feeling great and beebopping here and there and everywhere.
 She's been all smiles and working hard to get ready for her Meet Season that will start
 in August when we return from Cleveland.

 We are super proud of her perseverance, determination  and hard work.
God is most amaizing and we offer Him all the prasie for her Spirit He has instilled in Her, her wellbeing,  health, trials and ultimately Growing us along the Journey...

She was invited up each day with Youth pastor of a church to Lead Worship  to share her passion with others... all smiles and animated was a Worship Wonder...

 Giving God all the credit for the spirit He instilled and gifted her with

and the gifts he equips her with to use for his Glory!

although she remains sick we skip out on surgery.. she has an incredible amount of drainage and will run her typical course and cycle...We get to head home with a great plan in hand:-)

Scheduled to Come Home this evening....resting in the fact God is in Control.....

My sweet Em still struggling , sick and puney...awoke with her eyes matted shut, drainage out every orfice possible and remains with yuck cough and fever.. We are zipping up to clinic to determine if she has just overwhelming amount of drainage as usual or if her tearducts are obstructed again....

meaning longer stay and surgery...  stayed tuned for delay or departure...

A purpose



After 4 years the same plan discussed over the years in/out of hospital stays,  has been implemented. The protocol and treatments mentioned all along thought to treat her effectively...and is now in Place  Gods Timeline at times seems so uncertain during the moment but you continue to Trust in Him as we are so worldly and impulsive ..yet he shows us His will in his time for a Divine purpose... primarily to grow us and use our faith to Reach others and instill Trust & Hope In Him to others...

She Finally has Her Action plan.. A real Plan of care! Treating and Preventing Her needs.

Trusting God along the way, Surrendering Her best interest to Him, Allowing God To be in Ultimate control, Following His will for us  in 6 months he has accomplished Great things thru this team He hand picked & had in Place to come together and care for her the way he willed.

More has been accomplished in these 6 months than in 7 years.

Please understand that we have no frustration or regrets but only praise and gratitude to God for every step of the way has played criticals in His will for all involved. Lives changed  and transformed, hearts touched ,connections made, hope provided, Gods Victories celebrated all to Glorify His mightiness and Holiness as Our Loving father. A true story of hope, love and Faith in action. Thank you all for being a part of this beautiful story He has used you to help write it as it all unfolded.

Grateful for Ems progress and healing but even more grateful for those who have been reached and

 impacted thru her by Him our Father!

Follow Up

Morning with Pulmonology and Testing-Em remains sick without a response to the steroids. We have been beyond blessed with her Team of doctors here in Ohio... her Pulmonologist is simply amazing and on top of things for Her care.. He leaves nothing unaddressed, a thinker,and an implementor.. he is all about

 Em's best interest.. and getting her to a place to feel well, and breathing easier which was

our goal  as Parents! Jesus the Great Physician  has carried this out for her!

After 4 years He and ENT has implemented the protocol and treatments mentioned all along thought to treat her effectively...and is now in Place!

Onto CT of her Lungs and more testing today... To evaluate Lung involvement during this 9 week  Cycle...not responsive to the steroids... starting antibiotics to be nebulized and continue medicine washes.

Em all smiles and up to herself passing on smiles and hugs and sharing her Joy!

Friday Night Family Night

What a Blessing! Darnella came to pick us up to spend the evening with her and her family while she made us dinner! We went Grocery shopping and then visited. Em played with her 3 little cousins. What a delightful moment... watching the 3 of them imagine pretend and play their hearts out. They had tea party , played cafe and so much more. Emmalee was so  grateful! Dinner was delicious and shared Fun family time.

Darnella made us a true southern cookin...

 Fried Chicken, Fried Corn(oh my stars), mashed Potaoes and Gravy oh and southern Sweet tea

 It is a true blessing to be welcomed and invited into their home and treated and embraced  as their family and loved in such a way Only God can provide..Thank you Lord for the many Blessings and Provisions

Well more revealed  Em has been at Gi all morning... Explanation for tummy discomfort and distension

 what a blessing to now be able to Help her with just a few food changes and its a fix!

6Mo Noseversary

What A Day.. we are now 6 months out from Her Big surgery and new way of Living and BREATHING! For the Last 4 years  The Doctors at Texas Childrens and now here at Cleveland have much discussed treatment options for Miss Em... but never implemented until NOW...She has been now placed on the treatment plan first mentioned 4 years ago. It is a prevenitive plan longterm that consists of medicines to help her with her ineffective airway. It should help manage the obstructions in her nose from polyps and inflammation and minimize the amout of infection from accumulated congestion in her sinuses and Lungs from inability of clearance of her airways! God is Amazing to us and we shall continue in Trusting in Him His way and will for Her Life! Now thats a celebration of one of His many Victories in Our Life!

Words of Lil Em on Thursday after Her big ENT  appt..... After a long week, Dr dr dr and multiple tests Waiting for when the surgery date is going to be We walked into Ents office to be informed Her most problematic R side with multiple polyps had IMPROVED   yes IMPROVED  thank you Great Physician. Still left with some Polyps but She was confident they in Time would reduce post infection. And the Words of the ENT   " NO   Surgery " this time!!!!  Praise Jesus! Hugs went all around! They have now after several visits are understanding what her body DOES  and how to treat her Specifically!
 So walking out down hallway right out of the scope room ( Another scope like a trooper)
Em says to me with a bright Smile " God is Goood, up top Mom" for a yes high 5.
 We are ever so thankful for the progress they have made in Her care !
 Blessings and Beyond!

Super Sick

When leaving last in april Em started getting her normal  congestion and was thought to be the start of a new round of infeciton.....and well  fighting some sort of infection over the last 8 weeks and not improving but progressing to her Lungs... This is the INFAMOUS cycle she has to endure... now having high fevers,  harsh chest cough and drainage out the wazoo  tired and puney.. Pulmonology  grateful today to have a better understanding with what  is going on with her airway and just how ineffective it is...  He placed her on another round of steroids to evaluate effectiveness... Chest x-ray  more testing and follow up next week...

 We are just that much closer in Gods will and plans for her  and give HIM ALL THE PRAISE    for getting us this far in the process.... She has been going thru this cycle for 7 years now

Expect to find trouble in this day. At the same time, trust that my way is perfect even in the midst of such messy imperfection. We're Back...

We flew back in to Ohio Today around 2ish. Beautiful Weather welcomed us upon arrival. Sunny skies, Warmth with a cool breeze... was wonderful! Welcomed By Our HI Family as always with smiles hugs and open arms. Em jumped out of the taxi and into their arms. What an incredible blessing to be greeted with love from all of them! My Girl happy all smiles and giggles to be with them even with 101.5 Fever.....

She is soooo raziiliant... Thank YOu Lord Sweet Jesus!

Emmalee Was home and able to attend her May Events including a Special Evening at her Gymanstics banquet to recognize her for all Her hard work this season on Level 4 team.  The Coaches more than SURPRISED us ,bring tears to my eyes as we bring this season to a close ....by honoring Emmalee  with the Tough Cookie award for sticking Out the season, competing throughout her sick day moments ( even 102 fever) and always returning for her love for the sport between treatments.We were able to Attend Thanks to The Gym and all Our Very Special Friends determined for us to be there for the special night Thank  you sweet Friends Our extended Family God has blessed us with as well.

REALLY......

Is all that I could process Today as I waited & anticipated at the Dr. s office as Em was being Scoped once more.... Knowing that we were in an ok place 1 1/2 weeks ago attempting to bargain with the dr delaying our trip until fall if Things looked about the same... However Gods pland and will for us were a bit changed..... so Really Sweetest Em's Airway has closed off once more after 3 months of her new treatment and now has polyps everywhere on both sides now we were just down to one polyp on the right  but now the inflammation has increased for her causing her all the more discomfort and cycle of events.... Leaving us at a place of uncertainty about how to treat her at the present reluctant to place her on the steroids and miles away from her surgeon.... God is sooooo amazing and we rest with peace and true genuine comfort by His Grace only that He remains in Control....

Please continue to pray for His will for Her and comfort as He carries her thru...

Whats up Doc....

Well before leaving Ohio Em had visited  Ent Dr on the 18th.... She was at the beginning of getting some infection and were prepared for it to get worse but to increase her treatment regimen and add extra meds to cover her..

Its that time her 6month Noseversary

wow 6months since surgery...What a true difference it has been 6months vs. 6 years...I have to tell ya even with her sick gunky or infection going on her worse day SHE CAN BREATHE, move air  and sleep pretty Peacefully!!!! Thank you Jesus! Thank You Ohio As I have said before something as simple a daily requirement without a struggle... God is sooo good to have led us and bless her in the hands of physicians to make ALL the difference

Give God the Glory in a moment of Prayer with me..

Lord Sweet jesus I just thank you for being the Healer, Great Physician and Prince of Peace and all you have done for all of us namely lil Em...  You have carried her with your gift of grace on eagles wings and cared for her all along the way . YOu Jesus are the only way the only solution to ALL things- Thank you -Thank you for always taking care of everything for us..The sacrifice you  made for us. Thank you Lord for leading guiding and providing for us every step of the way we turn to you and love you with all our hearts  amen

It has Been almost 3 weeks and she has still been  struggling with it So we went in Today for a minimal proceedure ... dun dun dun... THE SCOPE She had ALOT of thick bubblegum gunk they had to vaccume out that should help her to not get behind the 8ball and help her get over this hump..  Polyps still in place on right left remains clear so treatment thus far effective for Her...Spoke with Dr.s here and their comments on treatment.... in awwee " thats creative" go Cleveland Go! They will check again in 2 weeks....

Practically running down the aisle with her big bright smile to be welcomed with the wonderful humidity on the jetway ahhh... ( a thought  of the cool breeze of Ohio for a brief moment) then running all the way  to jump in her daddys arms.... to later be greeted by her BFF Caylan as a surprise... Oh how happy she and I are to be back home....

           How to see Chicago in 5hrs.....                      We arrived by Amtrak to Union Station , got a locker for luggage and hit the streets walkin'. Did we ever walk Chicago! Started out on Jackson passing Skydeck of Sears tower, to stop for a Chicago Dog at Lukes.Walking many Blocks and snapping plenty of pics along the way to reach Magnificent Mile. Whooweee touring the Windy City ...felt alot like New York  people rushing past you attempting to see all the known "sites"
Emmalee's motivation was the Ag Store so she trooped it out...uncertain of the miles we put in to get there....????? But loving All of  It Beautiful City,Bigger better than NYC...  

Making it to Hersheys peakking by Navy Pier way to coooold for us Texans to enjoy then heading towards brown line for the EL -Train... Ok they so do not wait these peopple move it.... unlike the Cleveland RTA... LOL We missed Pizzeria Uno but had a deep dish before catching a Taxi and heading for MIdway to  be Texas Bound Baby!

But for those who are righteous, the way is not steep and rough. You are a God who does what is right, and you smooth out the path ahead of them. LORD, we show our trust in you by obeying your laws; our heart's desire is to glorify your name.Isaiah 26:7-8

  At times the "path of the righteous" doesn't seem smooth and it isn't easy to do God's will, but we are never alone when we face tough times. God is there to help us through difficulties, to comfort us, and to lead us. God does this by giving us a purpose and giving us provisions as we travel. God provides us with relationships of family, friends, and mentors. God gives us wisdom to make decisions and faith to trust him. Don't despair; stay on God's path.

Em & I  making a stop for $8  look see at a game (cheap day) Trying to only spend the minimum  we shared a burger & fries w/ a side of fries  that were extra and too many... Hoping to avoid the wind and cold aasked a Usher Guy where we could sit at first he  just pointed way over there at  a shady picnic area but to later tap me and take us to a  reserved seating area over the foul line...:-) in the SUN!!!! Gods plans in Place...... We watch and eat to realize we had way to many fries!At that time I noticed a sweet Young man and Girl beaming and enjoying themselves sharing just a pack of peanuts together...( Ashley and Shaun) At that time Me being Me offered our fries to them they were beyond gracious humbly accepting pointing out" are you sure you don't have anything..." God always brings people to our path we only need to walk with our eyes open...and hearts willing Thinking nothing more past that Em starts pointing out Cotton candy and I truly didnt see the cotton candy man sh was excited about.... we started talking more to Ashley but Shaun was gone. He soon returned with a MONSTER BAG of cooton candy for Em.. Wow what a blessing  and amazingly sweet to chase down  cotton candy for her and brighten her day having no idea the  kind of days she has had or even why we were here but placing a smile on her face! Thanks Shaun and Ashley! Oh How God loves us ALL! Ashley and Shaun What an experence to have met yall we wish the best to the 2 of you with engineering and Nursing in Ackron!
